Connecting pioneers in the regenerative economy through the open source federation of regenerative enterprises.

Hello new earth.
Imagine a world designed purposefully. Ethics are at the core of product design. Human beings cooperative peacefully, sharing the abundance growing on earth. Agroforestry is known to be the heart of the human economy, the lungs of the earth providing life force energy for the evolving planetary intelligence. This is a world in which human beings make a conscious evolutionary action, together, as one species united in universal ethics to steward life carefully and fairly.
One new farmer is introduced to permaculture design, being compassionately guided to improve the environment by design; a whole community is introduced to permaculture design, the environment grows more beautiful, and the network grows organically. This world did not happen by accident, it is not random. This is the seed of the Earth Care beginning to sprout. An idea whose time has come, coming into manifestation - a call to inspired action for regenerative pioneers.
I find myself present to the Principle of Stability. Reading PERMACULTURE A Designers Manual by Bill Mollison, designing from pattern to detail. Co-creating Earth Care. Forming a cooperative social enterprise with partners globally. Aligning for the purpose of connecting pioneers in the regenerative economy.
Principle of Stability
It is not the number of diverse things in a design that leads to stability, it is the number of beneficial connections between those components.
It follows that adding in a technology or living species "just to have it there" has no sense to it. Adding it in to supply a need or consume an otherwise wasted resource – to do something useful – makes a great deal of sense. Often, however, we lack fundamental information on components and may therefore leave out technologies or species in designs which would have been useful had we known. Thus,
Information is the critical potential resource. It becomes a resource only when obtained and acted upon.
~ Bill Mollison
Applying permaculture design on IT.
Information technology offers immense power: network effects. How might we apply permaculture design on evolving information technology?
As an example of this, our team started prototyping the Earth Care discover tool, a basic regenerative enterprise directory service. Unlike other platforms with fragmented data, through the discover tool, the founding Earth Care team is co-creating a federated data standard for regenerative enterprises. While there is data stored across various websites and directories, Earth Care's discover tool is curating creative common data, adding contextual information, and making a more robust map of regenerative enterprises available free and open source.

Through a permaculture design lens, there is an ethical basis that informs all design processes, whether technical or natural: earth care, people care, fair share.
I believe civilization dying as it's being reborn, and each one can choose to make the whole experience better by design. Earth Care is a for-purpose cooperative social enterprise with the purpose of connecting pioneers in the regenerative economy. It's a part of a greater Open Source Everything Guild ecosystem, an incubator and holding company for open-source permaculture inspired innovation. The vision for Open Source Everything Guild is inspired by the purpose of creating greater life for all, profitably open sourcing all innovation of value, with permaculture at heart, one cooperative social enterprise at a time. I am playing the circle lead role in forming Open Source Everything Guild along with Jacob Foster of BioHarmony and Ryan Smollar of Elder Law. At Earth Care, I am playing the product lead role to apply permaculture design to optimize the yield of earth care's product.
In permaculture design it's obvious that any given space has infinite potential yield. This applies to a small garden, a village, as it applies to the interconnected blue dot; nature and humanity as a whole. Through through Earth Care, I envision tools for applying permaculture design better, both at and without scale. Through software, hardware; educational and agricultural system upgrades, all of humanity can realize a greater quality of life. Regenerative enterprises can not only make more money, a peaceful civilization can also be regenerated on earth.
Serving regenerative pioneers.
Money grows on trees, and so much more. The point is to realize what else grows on trees beyond money. A well designed forest produces beautification, cleansing, nourishing, healing, inspiring qualities to humanity that money can buy. Yet no money can replace the direct experience of. There are some pioneers who see this vision and intuitively understand it's not only noble and aspirational; it's tangible. To respond correctly to the changing climate is to join the earth care movement. It is a movement towards greater peace and abundance in the age of intelligence.
I resonate with people who are inspired about designing civilizations to come together. To recognize that the world is still birthing itself through human action; that human action is best focused through caring for the earth and human family. I get excited when people share with me aspirational goals that other people think are unrealistic, as I see that reality is created by a conscious focus from within.
A common pattern that I've found as I deepen my study in permaculture is the opportunity to share what I learn. For me, Earth Care is a vital stream for me to show you what's possible, and to learn as well. I wonder what action together can be inspired; solutions realized. Through coordinated action greatness grows, isn't it so? My curiosity is how might we create the greatest net value together.
Federating regenerative enterprises.
Through Earth Care, there is a collaborative process underway with a purpose-aligned team already researching and developing regenerative enterprise digital commons. I've been amazed to see how much abundance of value is already open-sourced and available in the creative commons. Through curating, cleaning, and contextualizing creative common data into a federated open source protocol. Built initially for environmental researchers, it offers a valuable dataset that can grow to include both data that you're looking to find and showcase to the world.
It's built with reverence for the progress of open source pioneers. I give thanks to Ghost.org for open-sourcing the publishing tool that this article is published on. Supabase, and many open-source communities co-evolving to offer full stack open source solutions for rapidly iterating on cloud based software solutions. Permaculture Global, Regenerative International, Open Sustainable Technology, for publishing over 4,000 regenerative enterprises into the creative commons.
To all the regenerative enterprise creators collaborating to create the new earth together, I thank you! Welcome to add your enterprise to the Earth Care directory. I'm curious to learn more how we can design better systems together. This initial platform is a simple prototype to show you what's possible and invite you in.
Cultivating communal support systems.
There are people I meet and discover a shared vision, often quickly, of the new earth emerging. Of people living in harmony in a peaceful civilizations by design. Of dreamers and doers committed to stewarding the forests regeneratively, building enterprises that change the paradigm for all to gain in turn.
Often, I meet these kindred spirit by synchronicity, we get to know one another on a deep level in a mastermind. Where being witnessed is only the beginning, and there is a common prayer through action the enriches all of our relations. A mastermind is simply a container for growth through community support.
If you want to get involved in the mastermind program, simply email mastermind@earthcare.network and let us know about your mission.
Often times, when we mastermind, we'll see something to co-create. Do you already have a brilliant vision that you need support to realize? If you already see something that you want to co-create, send a message to seers@earthcare.network
